Funding has been deferred for 11 state highway projects in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Citrus counties and a project at the Port of Tampa, the Florida Department of Transportation said Friday.
About $73.1 million in area projects will be affected by a $1.2 billion reduction in the October state revenue collection forecast used for state budgeting from estimates of gasoline taxes, titles and other transportation related fees.
The net effect to FDOT's statewide work program from Florida's October Revenue Estimating Conference report totals $916 million, FDOT spokeswoman Kristen Carson said.
The Hillsborough County projects include Adamo Drive from east of U.S. 301 to west of Falkenburg Road, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard from east of Parsons Avenue to east of Kingsway Road.
The Pasco County project involves State Road 52 from west of Suncoast Parkway to east of U.S. 41.
Pinellas County projects include a bridge replacement on Interstate 275/State Road 93, Brian Dairy Road from 28th Street to Alternate U.S. 19 and State Road 694 from State Road 687 to State Road 699.
