Coming next week: Tampa Bay on Track's first ever mini-series!

We don't often think about how heavily we rely on them to get to work, get the kids to school, and run basic errands such as picking up groceries or getting to the bank. For some of us, unexpected car trouble or teenagers that takeover a vehicle provide us with a first-hand look at how stressful and challenging it can be. For many of us, however,it is easy to take our vehicles for granted.

That is why we are excited to announce that starting next week, we will debut our first ever mini-series "Surviving in Tampa Bay as a one car family." Carly - our field correspondent - will detail the challenges she faces living in our region with only one car instead of two. From the financial reasons for giving up the second car to navigating the bus system, this series will take an in-depth look at the real life struggles faced by the thousands of individuals and families in Tampa Bay every day.

While Carly's situation is based on a financial choice, through this up close and personal perspective, we hope to draw attention to the many families who must get by with NO car at all, or who are unable to drive for other reasons. So stay tuned for the first installment coming on Tuesday, July 5th.
